Luna Phase Headphones Launch

The launch ecosystem of the Luna Phase earbuds creates a sleep-centered wellness experience through the combination of thoughtful app, website, product, and branding design.

SOLO · 7 WEEKS · CLASS PROJECT

The problem

Our minds stay active even after the day ends, making consistent quality sleep a struggle.

The solution

Luna was designed to make good sleep effortless. By combining ergonomic earbuds and a calming app experience, Luna helps users transition from the chaos of the day into restorative rest each night.

The app explained:

Tonight’s plan - the center of the app

Set tonight’s sound and your bedtime and wake time on one dial, then put the phone away.

Sleep stats

The morning starts with one soft sleep score and a kind note, not a wall of data, so checking in doesn’t add stress.

Bud control

Noise modes and day or night mode live in the app, so the earbuds and the app feel like one product.

Sound library

Favorites and “Picked for You” soundscapes, so choosing tonight’s sound takes seconds.

Calm at night, clear in the morning

Sleep mode stays dark with only a few controls, then the Good Morning screen hands off to your sleep stats.

Goals of the site explained:

Drive preorders

A Preorder button sits in the hero and again after the results, right where people are most convinced.

Make it memorable

Instead of a spec sheet, visitors click each part of the earbud to see what it does.

Explain the tech

“Where science meets sleep” walks through the sleep stages Luna adapts to, then three cards explain how it works.

Where science meets sleep: a ring of moon phases for each sleep stage Three cards: Listens to Your Body, Learns Your Sleep Rhythm, Keeps You Resting

Desktop and mobile

The site is fully responsive, with the same story told in a single column on phones.

From sketch to brand

The luna wordmark and the “un” app icon came straight out of my logo sketches. Navy and periwinkle come from the night sky: calm, but still premium.

The earbuds - rendering process

I sketched the bud right on an ear, then used AI image tools to bring it to life: product renders, lifestyle shots, and the launch videos. Keeping the bud looking the same across every image took a lot of iteration.
